I passed a JLPT!! Finalley!!

Remember last 2006, I was so bitter coz my score in JLPT 4 was just inches away from passing – a sad 57%. I had a lame excuse of not having enough practice coz I haven’t experienced being dispatched long-term in Japan that time.

Then the next years came. Armed with high levels of confidence, I vowed to study and take level 3. I lived in Japan for a long time, I had enough time to study Japanese. But I chose to study IT stuffs harder, and partied even harder on the weekends. I did spend time studying Japanese songs though ;) and practiced my speech for the morning meetings everyday :D

Whenever the exam date comes up, I had always chickened out. Level 3 was too high for me, I realized. Many people think I am so good at Japanese already. ;) Unfortunately I certainly know my capabilities on the language and most of the time I am only faking it. Hehehe. Whenever you hear me talk Japanese, and feel that it’s good, don’t be fooled. I’m just pretending, and showing off :D

Then last year, I said to myself, hmpf I’m gonna try again. If I don’t pass, this language is not for me. Come December, I took the Level 4. I thought that it’s my surefire way of getting a certification because I never got the chance to study aaat all last year. I just relied on my pretending-to-be-good experiences. And it turned out really well!

The score isn’t really something to be proud of… Actually, Japanese level 4 won’t bring me to the top of the careers-in-Japan food chain.. But I’m just happy to finally hold my certificate… This is the fruit of my distributed efforts of showing off:

… and my name is f*in misspelled! That is just so deadly! :’(

I’ll probably ask them to replace it. Even if it’s not level 3 or 1 (yeah in my dreams :P ), it’s still something that I can show to my grandchildren, and grandchildren’ s  children… and their friends too,

When my mom texted me that a letter from Japan Foundation arrived this morning, I called immediately and asked how it looked like (I know that a small envelope means I failed, a big one means nailed). And she said, it’s small! I asked her to open and read coz I was hoping they changed the packaging hehehee…

Turned out, it’s a big one :D

So much for the happiness.
