Hello There!
My name is Joane, I’m a Filipina living in Manila, oh Manila!
(I am kinda lazy yet to update this profile, so let me just update the photo in the mean time)
I have been living in Japan for almost two years already, going back and forth to Philippines sometimes. I work in an IT company and I enjoy it.
I speak four languages: Filipino (Tagalog), English, Japanese (still working on a more advanced level) and Gay. The last one I only use when talking with Pinoy friends, and mostly with my fabulous gay friends.
I am passionate in whatever I do. I put all my heart and emotions to every endeavor I take – at work (which is a good thing), or at play (perhaps the reason why I always get into trouble).
I knew I wanted to be a geek but it probably doesn’t fit me . I enjoy geek stuffs though – programming languages, logics, algorithms (lists go on). I like learning new computer stuffs – mostly on software. Because that’s where I belong since I started working.
I love to entertain myself with all the possible forms of entertainment that you can enjoy even if you’re alone (only the wholesome ones!): music, movies, series, guitar, gossips. I originally wanted to be an artist – performer/rocker superstar, model, or anything related to being a celebrity. But in my home country, unless you belong to the bloodline of the rich and the famous since birth, it will be more practical to stay in a field that you know will give you security, that’s why I chose IT. And I have always been hoping that I picked the right choice. For 5 years now, despite the ups and downs, I’m still alive, and still in ‘IT’… thankfully.
I love sports. I had also dreamed about becoming an athlete someday. I’m into physical and adrenaline-pumping social activities!
I like the beach, but careful not too spend too much under the sun because I get insanely dark even just after a few minutes of sun exposure. I’m into bikinis and sunglasses. I like sunshine but I prefer clouds coz as I’ve said, I’m too scared to get darker.
If I were rich, I would be shopaholic. I have this thing for shoes, bags, perfumes, clothes, fashion, makeup (addicted to it, current fave is Maquillage)… Girl stuffs. But since I’m not rich, I always opted to go bargain hunting or ukay-ukay or sale… just for the clothes. And since I could be a nomad sometimes, I couldn’t collect much more stuffs while living in Japan. So I keep my bargain shopping in moderation.
I am a party girl. I love parties, parties love me. It’s a mutual understanding.
I take some time off from my corporate slavery by going out and hanging out with the coolest friends. Enjoying life, living it to the fullest. Most people might disagree, but I’m keeping my partying in moderation too.
I have been blogging since 2005. I had been keeping diaries since High School, which I had to stop after the keyboard found its way to me. I’m a person full of expressions, emotions and the like. Whatever happens to me (happy, sad, whatever), there has to be some way for me to pour it out. That’s why I’m always talking. And just not to bug anyone on listening to endless happy/sad whines about my life, I chose to blog instead.
I’m in love with Macy Gay (my Mac). We’ve been together for more than a year now.
Feel free to lurk around, drop a comment or suggest me anything! I have these social networking stuffs but I don’t use it often (except for checking updates about my friends):
- Friendster
- Multiply
- MySpace
I prefer giving more time to my site. Photos, events and all the whats-going-on-with-me are solely dedicated to this site… Love your own!
Anywayz, thanks for dropping by and welcome to my personal listening machine! I couldn’t think about other things to say about myself. So this is it for now.
pinakamaganda is the superlative form of beautiful in Filipino. It is simply my way of seeing things around me in their most beautiful and most perfect perspective. That no matter how bad, ugly and hurtful things turn out to be in real life, I know there’s always beauty behind it. More here…
This blog is not about Japan, although you can see bits and pieces of it in my posts. It doesn’t solely concentrate on Japanese culture and pure Japanese stuffs, or anything else in general. I don’t know if what I write about my life will interest anyone. I sometimes hope it will not, because I don’t want fame (liar). This is about perhaps the easiest topic for me to blog about – my life and the life around me (human or inhuman
). This is my personal space, my listening machine. This is about anything, wherever I am…
That’s just it.. Welcome to my crazy world!
